SUMMARY:The Key to My Freedom – Approaches to Ensuring that Every Child Can Access Safe\, Inclusive Education in Times of Conflict
DESCRIPTION:The event focuses on the critical need for inclusive and safe education for children living in areas of armed conflict. Recognising that displacement\, trauma\, and a lack of resources often exclude the most vulnerable—including children with disabilities\, those without parental care\, and survivors of sexual violence—this session aims to bridge the gap between policy and lived reality. \nEvent overview\nThe session will take the form of a 60-minute panel discussion designed to: \n\nGround global discussions in the actual experiences and recommendations of children with lived experience.\nFacilitate an exchange of concrete\, proven approaches and programmes that provide accessible education in conflict zones.\nHighlight the importance of ensuring that education is tailored to the specific physical and emotional needs of marginalised groups.\n\nBy sharing tangible interventions and personal perspectives\, the event provides a platform to improve collective action and ensure no child is left behind due to war or institutional barriers.
