November 2022: Endorsed the Political Declaration on Strengthening the Protection of Civilians from the Humanitarian Consequences Arising from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas (EWIPA) on 18 November during an International Conference hosted by Ireland, the leader and penholder behind the Declaration.
January 2023: On 18 January, Apolline and Nevena met with H.E. Mrs. Clara Delgado Jesus, Ambassador at the PM in Geneva, and provided a full briefing on the SSD. She was very supportive and could not see any reason why her country could not endorse. We followed up in writing and also shared a letter addressed to the Minister of Education, copying the MFA, encouraging Cabo Verde’s endorsement.
