April 2019: Human Rights Watch made a submission to the Committee on the Rights of the Child for their upcoming review of Tonga. It asks the Committee to call upon Tonga to endorse the Safe Schools Declaration. In addition, it highlights the update to New Zealand’s military manual to better protect schools from military use.
