Catherine Nderi

Catherine Nderi is the GCPEA Senior Coordinator for the Fifth International Conference on the Safe Schools Declaration and is based in Kenya. She has over 20 years of experience in education in emergencies, child protection, gender equality, inclusive education, and health systems. Catherine has worked in collaboration with governments, UN agencies, and development partners including UNICEF, ILO, FCDO, and the World Bank, to develop policies and implement programs that advance the safety and well-being of children. She has led and coordinated major global events, and she is passionate about safeguarding education in crisis contexts. Catherine holds an MBA and is a certified Project Management Professional with additional training in global health and disability inclusion.
