August 2016: CAAC Open Debate: “The Secretary-General clearly outlines in his report that attacks on schools and hospitals continue unabated, and that abductions of children by terrorist organizations have increased considerably”.
February 2018: In advance of OPAC turns 18 event, GCPEA issued letter highlighting that Cambodia has signed OPAC, Paris, and Vancouver, but not the Declaration,and calling for endorsement.
July 2019: Has endorsed the Call to Action of Safe to Learn campaign.
July 2019: Human Rights Watch made a submission to the Committee on the Rights of the Child, in which they call on Cambodia to endorse the Safe Schools Declaration.
November 2022: Endorsed the Political Declaration on Strengthening the Protection of Civilians from the Humanitarian Consequences Arising from the Use of Explosive Weapons in Populated Areas (EWIPA) on 18 November during an International Conference hosted by Ireland, the leader and penholder behind the Declaration.
