Yatasha is the Advocacy and Policy Adviser at GCPEA. She has ten years of experience working on human rights issues, with specific focus on economic, social and cultural rights. Yatasha previously served as First Secretary at the South African Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva and Assistant Director at the national level on human rights issues. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE) from the University of Cape Town and an Honours degree in Economics. She is currently undertaking an Executive Masters in International Law in Armed Conflict at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.
